NOMINATE A
DETROIT NEIGHBORHOOD AMBASSADOR
Detroit's greatest asset is our people. That's why Detroiters are at the center of everything we do. MoveDetroit's Detroit Neighborhood Ambassador program allows Detroiters to identify neighbors and friends they believe will be great ambassadors for our city. Those selected help to tell Detroit's story, share feedback on MoveDetroit's programs, and represent their neighborhoods.
Featured programs
Make Detroit home.
As MoveDetroit's flagship talent retention and attraction program, this popular program offers financial incentives, a welcome package, and robust community programming to Detroiters choosing to stay, return, or move.
Divided across three distinct program tracks, Make Detroit Home helps small business owners and entrepreneurs in the city choose to stay-- retaining talent and supporting the city's growth--while supporting new and returning Detroiters as they make their move back home to join us.
DOWNPAYMENT ASSISTANCE
The State of Michigan's MI 10K Down Payment Assistance (DPA) Program helps homebuyers with low and moderate incomes by providing up to $10,000 toward down payment, closing costs, and prepaid expenses. This assistance, available statewide, comes in the form of an interest-free loan.
DETROIT FIELD TRIPS
MoveDetroit-organized Detroit Field Trips connect students to all that Detroit has to offer as a great place to live, work, and play. Whether university students or Detroit youth, our field trip programming includes exposure to Detroit's industries and employers, a slice of life in some of Detroit's incredible neighborhoods, and face to face engagement with the community leaders, residents, and small businesses that make Detroit great.
