Move Detroit is a historic, city‑wide effort to grow Detroit’s population, build shared prosperity and create even brighter futures for all Detroiters — current and future.
Move Detroit is for all Detroiters. Powered by a broad coalition of support spanning across industry and sector, including residents, we’re ushering in a new era of community-led growth, together. MoveDetroit aims to design and launch programs, policies, and storytelling efforts that support current residents choosing to stay, invite former residents to return home, and welcome others to join us.
We’re committed to innovative solutions and a collaborative approach. We’ll work together to develop data-backed programs, advance policy initiatives, host community & youth engagement efforts, and deploy marketing to continue improving life for Detroit residents, while ensuring future Detroiters nationwide know that there’s no better place to call home. Taken together, MoveDetroit initiatives are designed to improve talent retention, and spark growth for every resident that chooses to make Detroit their home.
